External Lightning Protection

An external lightning protection system should be installed to protect the building from direct lightning strikes. The air terminal is placed on the rooftop of the building. A down conductor to the air terminal to the earth electrode. When lightning strikes the air terminal, the electricity flows directly to the earth through the lightning conductor. It will bypass the flow of high value of current to other parts of the building.
